When should I book my travel and accommodation?

We recommend booking flights and hotel accommodations as early as possible, ideally by the end of the month to secure the best rates and availability

What’s the closest airport?

The nearest airport is the Gibraltar International Airport (GIB) which is walking distance away from anything in Gibraltar. The second nearest airport is Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) in Spain which is an hour away from Gibraltar by Taxi. Flights tend to be cheaper in Malaga compared to arriving in Gib. We will be collecting everyone's flight details to see if we can arrange shared transportation to and from both airports.

Do I need a visa and what type of visa?

You would need a UK visa to enter Gibraltar with a Philippine passport and a different Schengen visa if you will arrive in Malaga. Ideally, it would be best to apply for both before the month ends. We would happily help you apply or help with any required documents.

What’s the dress code and what is the theme?

Please dress in semi-formal. Ideally the gentlemen wearing a suit and ladies wearing a dress. We will be having a church wedding so please dress accordingly. We’re skipping the theme and focusing on celebration. So come as you are, stylish and stress-free.

Can I bring a plus one?

We’d love to include everyone, but due to venue limitations, not everyone can bring a plus one. Please inform us in advance if you wish to bring a plus one.

What’s the weather like?

Expect mild, sunny weather with daytime temps around 22–23 °C and cooler evenings around 16 °C . This is the end of summer and the start of autumn so pack a semi-thick jacket for the cold.

What events are planned for the wedding weekend?

The wedding ceremony will take place in the afternoon, followed by the reception in the evening all on the same day. You're free to explore Gibraltar, nearby Spain, or even other countries before or after the big day. If you’d like help planning side trips, just let us know we’re happy to assist or even organize group tours if there’s interest! Check out the “Things to Do in Gibraltar” and “Beyond Gibraltar” tabs for ideas and inspiration.

Where should we stay in Gibraltar?

We recommend staying near the city center for easy access to shops, restaurants, and the wedding events. Great hotel options include The Rock Hotel, Sunborn Gibraltar, and The Eliott Hotel. You can also check Airbnb for local apartments or rooms. As an alternative, we may be able to connect you with fellow Filipinos in Gibraltar who are open to hosting guests or offering a couch to crash on. Just let us know if you're interested!
